2026 PEACEMAKER ACADEMY APPLICATION

Who:
Any student in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade during the 2025-2026 school year, who wants to grow as leaders and make a difference in their school and community. Peacemaker Academy is only open to Fort Wayne Community School students at this time.

What:
Peacemaker Academy is a three-week nonviolence leadership program focused on building skills in conflict de-escalation, understanding the root causes of violence, cultivating inner peace, and leading positive change.

When:
June 8 – June 26, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Where:
First Wayne Street United Methodist Church
300 East Wayne Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802

Why:
To equip students to be leaders of peace in their schools. Participants will apply what they learn by staying involved in their school’s Peacemaker group and helping lead peace initiatives throughout the school year.

Additional Details:

  • Participants will present their learning at a graduation ceremony at the end of the program

  • Students earn a $500 stipend for completing the Academy

  • An additional $250 stipend is available after completing school-year involvement requirements

  2. If you are chosen for the next step, we will contact you to set up an in-person INTERVIEW.

  3. If you are accepted, we will contact you to CONFIRM your attendance.
