RSVP for Kingdom Dreams, Violent Realities
Gun violence is an epidemic in our country with seemingly no end in sight. As if the situation wasn't already bleak enough, the CDC recently identified gun related incidents as the leading cause of death for children and teens in America. As people of faith, we must develop the moral imagination to envision and work toward a different reality.
In partnership with the Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church, please join us for a four week reflection on gun violence based upon Micah 4:1-4.
Our four week journey will begin on Wednesday, September 21 with a screening of The Interrupters, a powerful documentary about gun violence. We will follow that with a three week reflection on gun violence through the lens of the prophet Micah. Dates are 9/21, 9/28, 10/5 and 10/12.
If you would like to eat with us, dinner will be served between 5-6. The movie screening/study will begin promptly at 6. Children’s programing is offered during the movie/study.
